Patience Assistance Care Fund
Your support today benefits Rural Health Medical Program Inc. (RHMPI) Patient Assistance Care Fund. This fund is used to provide care to those who are uninsured or underinsured. Our Patient Assistance Care Fund is needed since 60% of our patients are uninsured and/or underinsured. Of these patients, many are 10% were children in 2019.
If each of our uninsured patients were kept out of the emergency room just once this year the savings to the community would be approximately $3M in hospitalization and/or emergency room costs savings.
At RHMPI, no one is turned away due to the inability to pay for services. The needs in Dallas, Marengo, Monroe, Perry, and Wilcox counties are great, and over 40% of RHMPI’s patients are low income. Patients without insurance or who are underinsured are charged on a sliding fee scale which is based on the national poverty guidelines.
Thanks for your continued support of the RHMPI Team, in 2019 we provided services to approximately 7800 patients served through nine (9) Health Care Facilities with three (3) centers offering dental services and behavioral and mental health services, along with our contract 340B Pharmacy Program. Your gift to the Patient Assistance Care Fund makes these services possible and helps those in our community with great need. Thank you for making a difference in the lives of our patients.

Teen Health Outreach Program
At Rural Health Medical Program, our mission is to help our communities gain knowledge and stay healthy. We have made significant strides in connecting more people to the quality healthcare services and the community resources they deserve and need to live their best lives. RHMPI offers a community outreach conversational series to middle school aged young women and their mothers. We believe in taking an active role in supporting our girls through conversations to educate and create open honest dialogue around women’s health between daughters, mothers, teachers, and medical providers.
